This dynamic event is collaboratively planned by professionals from leading hospitals and academic institutions. The program showcases data-driven research, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice projects all focused on enhancing the nursing work environment. Discover innovative strategies, exchange insights, and connect with peers dedicated to advancing nursing excellence.
Target Audience
Registered nurses at all levels and nursing students.
Members of the organizations that have faculty as part of the planning committee and nursing students can attend at no cost. There is a $15 registration fee for all others.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
- Identify incivility in the workplace and describe strategies to address and mitigate these challenges based on data and recent research.
- Demonstrate what a healthy work environment contains within a hospital, nursing unit, educational institution and individual educational programs and will be able to identify strategies to support those working in these places.
- Delineate between compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction, burn-out, well-being, resilience in multiple hospital and educational venues and address skills/factors involved in improvement.
- Identify innovative activities, such as robotics, standardized practice and technology that supports patients and staff in improving and addressing both safety and quality of care.
- Describe both nursing and interprofessional-driven tools that align with current patient care and health care provider needs to focus on efficiency along with safety and quality.
- Reflect and enjoy past years of nursing and health care experiences and envision what to expect in the future.
