I have been a Hematology /Oncology nurse at Nemours for 26 years.  I am CPON certified. As part of the Improving documentation of the newly diagnosed oncology patient quality initiative I made the suggestion that we meet in the late afternoon to discuss education and what needs to be accomplished for each patient and tailor it to their individual needs.  This is now part of our practice.
