Gayle Scherer has been working in the social work field for over ten years. She graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2022 with a Master's of Social Worker (MSW) and obtained her Delaware License Master of Social Work in November 2022. Gayle has three years of experience working in the child welfare system in Pennsylvania, investing suspected cases of child abuse and neglect. She has also worked as a Juvenile Probation officer for five years in the State of Delaware with youth that were adjudicated of inappropriate sexual behavior offenses. While in her MSW program, Gayle completed an internship with a mental health crisis intervention service. In November 2022, Gayle joined the Nemours VBSO and KidWell Community team to provide Social Work Care Coordination support to community practices. Gayle has a wealth of knowledge for services in the state of Delaware and providing resources to children and their families.
