Dr. McCulloh Nair earned her PhD in nursing science and completed a bioethics fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is a board-certified Advanced Practice Public Health Nurse and tenured Professor of Nursing at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. She primarily provides didactic content to baccalaureate and doctoral students covering a variety of subjects. Her clinical experience includes cardiac critical care, home health, case management, and health policy. Dr. McCulloh Nair is also a nurse scientist at ChristianaCare Health System in Delaware, where she leads nursing research initiatives. Her research focuses on addressing the social ecological factors associated with all phases of health care delivery, and works closely with health equity colleagues to improve health outcomes. She recently completed a sabbatical in Scotland to gain a better understanding of rural health care delivery and plans to develop an updated model of rural and urban adjacent care delivery to be implemented and investigated in the mid-Atlantic region of the US.
