Learning Objectives
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate key determinants of neurodevelopmental outcomes in preterm infants, including the impact of early nutrition, brain injury, and neonatal care practices, to inform longitudinal follow‑up and early intervention strategies.
- Apply current evidence‑based approaches to the prevention, management, and long‑term outcomes of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) to optimize respiratory health and overall morbidity in preterm infants.
- Describe recent updates and emerging innovations in neonatal surgical and fetal care, and assess their implications for timing of intervention, multidisciplinary coordination, and short‑ and long‑term neonatal outcomes.
- Integrate updated neonatal resuscitation frameworks, evidence-based clinical guidelines, and best practices in vascular access and pain management to support coordinated, team-based, and developmentally appropriate care for neonates in the delivery room and NICU setting.
