Melanie Ortiz, MD is an Attending Physician in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida. Dr. Ortiz is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Ortiz completed a fellowship in Fetal-Neonatal Neurology and Neonatal Neurocritical Care at Children’s National Medical Center in 2025, following residency training in Child Neurology at Nemours Children’s Hospital Delaware/Thomas Jefferson University in 2023. Dr. Ortiz earned a medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 2018 and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child Neurology.
