Lisa is a Nursing Professional Development Specialist in the Level IV Neonatal ICU at AdventHealth for Children. She is board certified in both neonatal advanced practice and nursing professional development, with extensive experience spanning neonatal and pediatric critical care, advanced practice, academic teaching, and staff development. In her current role, she supports the professional growth and practice readiness of NICU nurses through onboarding, competency management, simulation-based education, continuing education, and interprofessional learning initiatives. As a nursing professional development specialist, she helps bridge education and clinical practice by fostering competency, supporting evidence-based care, and promoting lifelong learning to strengthen both individual performance and patient outcomes. Lisa has also contributed to neonatal program development, Magnet-related professional writing, and peer-reviewed scholarship, including publication in Advances in Neonatal Care.
