Registered Nurses and clinicians caring for emergencies.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss primary survey assessment and management priorities for the critically injured pediatric patient
- List secondary survey assessment and management priorities for the critically injured patient
- Describe the anatomy and physiology of the organs in the thoracic cavity
- Discuss long term management of the critically injured pediatric patient
- Discuss family psychosocial considerations related to the critically ill pediatric patient
