The 17th annual neonatal conference at Nemours Children's Hospital provides a comprehensive platform for neonatal nurses and advanced practice providers to explore advancements, exchange insights, and collaborate on enhancing neonatal care, fostering innovation, and improving outcomes for newborns and their families.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:

  • Enhance Knowledge of Advanced Neonatal Interventions

    • Explore the latest advancements in fetal interventions, surgical techniques, and neonatal management strategies to improve patient outcomes.

  • Strengthen Clinical Skills and Technological Integration

    • Understand the role of innovative tools such as POCUS and virtual technology in enhancing neonatal care and decision-making.

  • Promote a Healthy and Supportive Work Environment

    • Identify strategies to foster meaningful recognition, resilience, teamwork, and well-being among NICU healthcare professionals to improve staff retention.

  • Improve Communication and Family-Centered Care

    • Develop skills for delivering compassionate, effective communication with families and interdisciplinary teams to support ethical and patient-centered care.

  • Advance Evidence-Based Practice in Neonatal Nursing

    • Utilize current research, guidelines, and case studies to implement best practices in managing complex neonatal conditions such as CDH and congenital intestinal atresias.
