The 16th annual neonatal conference at Nemours Children's Hospital provides a comprehensive platform for neonatal nurses and advanced practice providers to explore advancements, exchange insights, and collaborate on enhancing neonatal care, fostering innovation, and improving outcomes for newborns and their families.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:

  • Explain the indications and contraindications for CRRT in neonates.
  • Identify future-proof skills and competencies that will be essential for neonatal nurses to thrive in the evolving healthcare landscape.
  • Analyze the clinical presentation and potential long-term consequences of neonatal fentanyl exposure, including both in utero and postnatal exposure.
  • Describe the epidemiology, risk factors, and pathophysiology of BPD in infants.
  • Differentiate between different stages and severities of BPD, outlining key clinical presentations and diagnostic criteria.
