Mary Newman, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, CPON is the Director of Nursing for the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer & Blood Disorders, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Wilmington, DE. She received her BSN from Gwynedd Mercy University, her MSN, in Healthcare Administration, from the University of Delaware, and her DNP from Villanova University. She is board certified as a Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse (CPON) and Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC).  

Mary has served on the Nemours Ethics Committee and as a consult leader for more than 15 years. Mary has presented at the national level on the National Academies of Medicine Future of Nursing: 2020-2030 Report, on Nursing Leadership, Professional Development, and a Healthy Work Environment.  She is passionate about resiliency in nursing and developing nurses as leaders.

Mary currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses (APHON).
