Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:

  • Apply new evidence on ASD in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Differentiate features of ASD and ADHD.
  • Recommend appropriate medication management for patients with ASD.
  • Identify community-based resources for families pre-and post-evaluation as well as for autistic patients transitioning to adulthood.
  • Describe the benefits and applications of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
