2024 Evidence-Based Practice Fellowship | Day 1
The Evidence-Based Practice Fellowship is designed to help nurses learn to solve clinical problems by applying the tools of evidence-based practice, research and quality improvement. The two-day course is taught by experts who guide learners in identifying a topic of interest and developing a project to investigate it and integrate solutions into practice.
This course includes two individual sessions that cover different topics. Session 1 offers 7.0 nursing contact hours and Session 2 offers 6.5 nursing contact hours (13.5 nursing contact hours total for attending both sessions.)
Target Audience
Registered nurses and advanced practice nurses
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
1. Describe the processes of evidence-based practice, research methods and formal quality improvement.
2. Submit a research project to the Institutional Review Board or a quality improvement project to the Quality Review Committee.
3. Navigate the Nemours' library databases to begin to complete a topic search.
4. Evaluate published research and quality improvement work to gauge the levels of evidence.
5. Identify the role of the research nurse and describe research resources available at Nemours.
