Dyane Bunnell, DNP, APRN, AOCNS, CPON, NPD-BC
Dyane Bunnell, DNP, APRN, AOCNS, CPON, NPD-BC is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Hematology Oncology at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware (NCH, D). Dyane received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing, as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, from the University of Delaware, and is competing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Villanova University this Fall. She is an experienced pediatric hematology, oncology, transplant and cellular therapy Advanced Practice Nurse with over 40 years of experience and expertise in treatment and symptom management of children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders. Dyane has dual nursing certifications in pediatric oncology and advanced oncology nursing, as well as nursing professional development and pediatric bioethics.
Dyane is the co-chair of the Ethics Committee at NCH, D and leads a Nursing Ethics Forum. She serves as Facilitator of the Nursing Practice Council, member of the leadership team of the Hospital CLABSI Taskforce, Co-Chair of the Chemotherapy Safety Committee, Quality Improvement Coordinator of the Cancer Committee, and member of Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Medication Safety, and Patient Safety Committees.
Dyane has experience in clinical trial research as a study coordinator for clinical research and currently serves as the Children’s Oncology Group responsible investigator for nursing at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. She has served as the Principal Investigator of two studies examining the attitudes and beliefs of pediatric nurses.
