Series Summary:

The mission of the NCHF Pediatric Emergency Department is to provide healthcare to children with a high standard of quality and distinction. Collaborate with your ED colleagues in a monthly evidenced based, educational series that addresses topics most relevant to the trauma patients served. This interprofessional activity invites effective speakers to interact with the team in an informal, engaging manner with open discussion, lively presentations, hands-on skills, and equipment pertinent to the monthly topic. Enjoy your meal during the presentation or accompany your team to a nearby venue for the dine portion of the evening, immediately following the presentation. All team members are invited to participate in the series: MD, RN, EMT-P, RT, PCT, and others interested in the session content. 

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to: 

  • review trauma mechanisms related to monthly topic.
  • apply evidence and best practice for trauma topic presented each session.
  • apply assessment criteria for relevant for topic theme with a high focus on trauma.

Target Audience:

This program is intended for all disciplines of learners who primarily work in the Florida ED: RN, RT, EMT-P, PCT, and APRN.
