This course, designed for first year Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows, is an intensive 2-day course that will provide hands-on training in critical Pediatric Emergency Medicine procedure skills. This will include airway management techniques, vascular access and resuscitation procedures. Using high fidelity simulation, this course will also focus on the development of communication, teamwork and crisis resource management skills.
This is an intensive one day course designed for pediatricians who would like more experience with pediatric emergency scenarios. This course is geared specifically for the pediatrician working in an urgent care setting or emergency department and also for the pediatric hospitalist who may be called upon to respond to an emergency. We will provide hands on training in critical pediatric emergency skills. This will include pediatric specific airway management techniques and pediatric resuscitation procedures. Using high fidelity simulation, this course will also focus on the crisis resource management skills needed to successfully manage a critically ill pediatric patient.

Participants work in the Emergency Department and will benefit from hands on education to improve teamwork and communication.
