This mandatory Florida course sheds light on the significance of substance use disorders and impairment in nurses. It equips professionals with the knowledge to identify signs and symptoms of impairment in the workplace, and provides strategies for associates to address this critical issue.

Target Audience

This course is recommended for RNs and other members of the healthcare team and has been approved for Florida mandatory license renewal continuing education.

  • Discuss the scope of the problem of impaired colleagues in the healthcare environment.
  • Identify risk factors related to substance abuse by healthcare professionals and describe signs of impairment.
  • Explain the treatment options offered for impaired nurses by the Florida Board of Nursing
