Online - NCHFL Medical Genetics for Pediatric Subspecialties - August 2024

This traditional regularly scheduled series provides interprofessional clinicians the opportunity to learn about genetics using varying learning modalities such as engagement in a detailed discussion about a specific patient case in the pediatric setting or learning from a didactic session that discusses and analyzes the latest research, interesting cases, and evidence-based practices related to the specialty of medical genetics.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the basic structure and function of the human genome 
  • Give examples of benign and pathogenic genomic variation
  • Given a clinical presentation, chose the most appropriate genomic laboratory test
  • Support your choice of a genomic laboratory test using your knowledge molecular genomics
