DE FNE Education Day 2026
This educational activity enhances forensic nurse examiners’ knowledge and competence in pediatric forensic care, including abuse recognition, forensic photography, human trafficking, and gunshot wounds. It addresses practice gaps among nurses new to forensic nursing by promoting consistent, evidence‑based practice.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
- Describe characteristics of gunshot wounds.
- Identify patterned injuries in physical abuse patients.
- illustrate proper techniques of photographing injuries of the pediatric forensic patient.
- Demonstrate proper evidence collection techniques of the pediatric sexual abuse patient.
