Alyssa is a graduate of Beebe School of Nursing in Lewes, Delaware. She earned her bachelor's in nursing from University of Delaware in 2018. Alyssa has been working in emergency medicine since 2015 and became a forensic nurse examiner in 2021. Alyssa joined the emergency department team at Nemours in December 2024. In 2025 Alyssa became part of the forensic team at Nemours.
