Chelsea Weyand, Psy. D., ABPP

Chelsea Weyand, Psy. D., ABPP is a Pediatric Psychologist at Akron Children's Hospital and serves as the Vice Chair of Population Behavioral Health. In this role she oversees the growth and development of Integrated Behavioral Health Care Programs into Pediatric Primary Care Offices. In collaboration with the Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Akron Children's, Eva Szigethy, MD, Ph. D., they have created the TABBICAT model (Triage-Assessment-Brief Behavioral Intervention-Care Coordination-Tracking) of Behavioral Health Integration, which is designed to be scaled rapidly and meet the unique needs of each community. TABBICAT is currently scaled to 20 Pediatric Primary Care Practices in rural, urban, and Appalachian communities. Additionally, she collaborates with the Population Health office at Akron Children's to oversee behavioral health outcome metrics, designed to improve outcomes including reducing suicide risk, and maximizing care access and efficiency.
