Pam, a licensed social worker, leads the HealthySteps Payment Team for HealthySteps, an evidence-based pediatric primary care-based program of ZERO TO THREE that promotes the health, well-being and school readiness of babies and toddlers. In this role, Pam helps HealthySteps sites to identify and secure sustainable funding, which is a critical part of successfully implementing the HealthySteps model. Pam and colleagues work with state Medicaid agencies and other payors to find innovative ways to support dyadic integrated pediatric primary care models by utilizing new billing codes, allowing flexibilities in how codes are used, and exploring the use of alternative payment models to support team-based care.
