Rachel Tunick, PhD

Rachel Tunick, PhD earned her doctoral degree in child clinical psychology, with specialization in developmental cognitive neuroscience, from the University of Denver. She completed her internship in health service psychology at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH), where she then remained for a pediatric psychology postdoctoral fellowship in the genetics and metabolism program. Following completion of her training, Dr. Tunick remained at BCH in an attending psychologist position in pediatric critical care (staffing the medical-surgical and cardiovascular intensive care units). At the start of 2012, she transitioned from critical to primary care, accepting an attending psychologist position in Children's Hospital Primary Care Center (CHPCC), a large, community-based primary care practice housed on the main BCH campus. Since that time Dr. Tunick has remained in that program, over the years spearheading efforts to develop an interdisciplinary integrated behavioral health program (as well as psychology internship and fellowship training programs), of which she is currently the director.
