Cassidy Foley Davelaar, DO, FAAP, CAQSM
Cassidy Foley Davelaar, DO, a board-certified specialist in Pediatric Sports Medicine, joined the Division of Orthopedics at Nemours Children’s Hospital in January 2018. Prior to Nemours, Dr. Foley Davelaar worked in Pediatric Orthopedics in Atlanta and served as a physician consultant for the Atlanta Ballet, the Boston Ballet, the U.S. Figure Skating Association, the Boston Marathon and several other athletic organizations, including Northeastern University. She currently is a medical provider for the United States Tennis Association National Campus and Lake Nona High School. She herself was a varsity athlete at Columbia University, prior to graduating from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in her home state of Maine. She completed a residency in pediatrics through the University of Connecticut’s program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. She specialized her training and completed Fellowship in pediatric sports medicine at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Foley has published many journal articles, book chapters and given talks at national and international conferences on our youngest athletes, female athletes and slipping rib syndrome. Dr. Foley is certified in pediatrics and sports medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.
