Kathryn's career as a Certified Child Life Specialist has spanned nearly a decade caring for seriously ill children within the hospital and community setting. Kathryn completed her child life internship as Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and completed a child life fellowship where she continued her career at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at Michigan Medicine. Kathryn has volunteered in disaster relief caring for children and families at the US Southern Border. Kathryn is a passionate and caring professional who has extensive experience providing child life services in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, surgical, palliative, and hospice care settings. Kathryn is a child life internship supervisor and has worked to re-establish the Teen Advisory Council here at Nemours Orlando. Kathryn relocated to Central Florida to prioritize her family and is honored to serve as the child life specialist for the hematology/oncology service line here at Nemours.
