Megan McCarney, BSN, RN-NIC is a Level 4 NICU who has over five years of NICU experience. She started at Nemours Children's Hospital as a nurse extern, working through her senior year of college. Upon graduation from West Chester University, she accepted a position as a nurse resident in the NICU. She has become deeply involved in the hospital's pressure injury prevention team, serving as the unit lead. Through her time on the unit education council she has grown her love of educating nurses, now serving as the chair of the committee and precepting many nurses who are new to NICU practice. She has joined the hospital's stork team this past year and is able to aid in the delivery of complex neonates who require NICU or CICU support through the Advanced Delivery Program.
