Hello.  My name is Christine Porter. I currently work as a Neonatal Intensive Care RN in Nemours, Orlando.  I obtained my MSN in Nursing Leadership and Management in 2017 from Western Governor’s University.  I am a married mother of 4 with a passion for pets. I hail from a small farming town nestled in the Adirondack Mountains of NY.  Malone, NY.  I lived and worked most of my adult life in New York City.  It is here where I started my nursing journey, both educational and professional practice.  I moved to Orlando in 2018 with my family and have been with Nemours since arriving in the Sunshine State.  My personal and professional goals are quite similar, to always learn and grow.   It is my hope to one day complete my DNP.  With my nursing degree, a passion of mine has always been to give back to my community, both local and global.  I enjoy volunteerism with local projects as well as abroad.  After completing my first medical mission in Tanzania, I have a strong desire to do more.  I have also studied abroad with the Salzburg Global Seminar at the world-renowned Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg, Austria.  Here we studied global issues that affect and impact our global citizenship perspective.  It is my true desire to leave a positive mark on our world, one patient at a time.
