Bisography for Susan Ebaugh MSN, RN, CEN

Received my BSN from San Jose State, CA in 1978.

1978-1980 Worked as med-surg staff nurse and relief charge in Charleston, SC. 1980-84 moved to and worked in Dover, DE at Kent General Hospital as float nurse in stepdown unit, CCU, ED, med-surg departments. Transferred to Emergency Department as staff nurse and eventually charge nurse for 3 years. 1984-87 moved to and worked in Belleville, IL at St. Elizabeth's Hospital ED as the Patient Care Coordinator. 1991-2016 moved to and worked at Kent General/Bayhealth Kent Campus as ED staff nurse, preceptor and charge nurse. Transferred to Staff Development, Clinical Educator position for Kent ED, Milford ED and Smyrna free standing ED in addition to the Cath Lab and OR at Kent. Obtained specialty CEN certification, MSN for Clinical Nurse Specialist from University of Delaware in Dec 2010, obtaining my ANCC board credentialing for ACNS-BC in addition to my APRN license. Spoke at NACNS Conference, Baltimore, MD. Hired as the CNS for Bayhealth's 3 EDs, served on multiple hospital and state committees representing Bayhealth emergency perspective including Disaster, Critical Care Committee and state Trauma Designation committees. Retired December 2016.  

Have remained active with national ENA and Delaware ENA State Council since 2001. Served on national ENA Lantern Committee 2 years. Additional committee activities: Education Committee member since 2005 to present, Conference Chair for past 6 years. Faculty, Course Director and Instructor for both ENA courses for TNCC and ENPC. Content reviewer for 5th Edition ENPC textbook and test question writer. DENA representative for Delaware state Trauma Designation Committee, State Delegate for ENA General Assembly for 11 years. DENA President 2 years, current DENA board member as State Council Secretary since 2018 to present.
