Online: 2022 Pediatric Pharmacology Update | Treatment of Anxiety and Depression
In this session, Lauren Decker, MSN, CPNP, PMHS and Sydney Robinson, MSN, PMHNP-BC are both Psychiatric APRNs discuss the pathophysiology and diagnostic criteria of anxiety and depression, review pediatric pharmacological treatment options for anxiety and depression, including FDA approved and off-label medications, and debunk mental health misconceptions. This program was captured at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware on October 28, 2022.

Lauren Decker, MSN, CPNP, PMHS is a Psychiatric APRN at Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware. Lauren received her BSN and MSN degrees from Emory University and is currently enrolled in the DNP program at Duke University. Lauren’s capstone focuses on the implementation on rapid tranquilization and rapid dose titration in the management of pediatric aggression and agitation in emergency department. She joined Nemours in March 2022, working as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Psychiatry.
Sydney Robinson, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a Psychiatric APRN at Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware. Sydney obtained her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Sydney also conducted MRI research at MIT evaluating the impact of early life stressors on brain development throughout childhood. She joined Nemours in January of 2022 and splits her time between inpatient and outpatient clinics
