Nina Powell-Hamilton, MD, FAAP, FACMG
Nina Powell-Hamilton has been a Pediatric Clinical Geneticist at Nemours for 15 years and is currently the director of the Nemours Down Syndrome Program and Co-Director of the Nemours Cardiovascular Genetics Program. She is also a clinical assistant professor of Pediatrics at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She received her medical school training at the University of the West Indies, completed Pediatrics Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and a Clinical Genetics fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Magee Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh. Her areas of interest include Down Syndrome and Cardiovascular Genetics and she has authored a number of book chapters, abstracts and journal articles. Awards received to date include Delaware Today magazine’s Top Doctors, Best Doctors in America and the Nemours Physician Service Excellence Award. Her favorite pastimes include gardening, cooking, crafting and taking care of her pet rabbit Cinnamon.
