Meghan Davitt, MD
I grew up in a family of nurses who really understood the needs of patients. I care deeply about making my family proud and attending to the needs of patients in the most thoughtful and compassionate way possible. I truly enjoy taking care of patients and their families, whether in the outpatient clinic or on the inpatient floor. Helping patients find the joy in difficult situations is extremely rewarding and helps me stay excited about medicine every day. Throughout my research career, I have analyzed what places patients at risk for poor outcomes with their cancer treatments. I would like to make a difference in cancer care by understanding how best to treat our patients. Caring for patients and their families throughout their journey in oncology is what truly excites me! I am honored to be a part of these times to help patients navigate the difficulties of their journeys. I also care deeply about optimizing patient outcomes and minimizing toxicities in cancer care.
I completed my pediatric residency training at Nemours Children's Hospital in DE. I then completed fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children's Hospital at Montefiore. I was excited to join the Hematology/Oncology team at Nemours Children's Health in September of 2023.
