Martin Schreiber, MD FACS FCCM FRCST (Hon)
Dr. Martin Schreiber is Adjunct Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University and a General and Trauma Surgeon at Madigan Army Medical Center. He is a Colonel in the US Army Reserve and has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He has served as the Joint Theater Trauma System Director, Chief of Surgery of the 31st Combat Support Hospital in Tikrit and Chief of Trauma of the 228th Combat Support Hospital at Shank. He is past Chair of the Trauma Center Association of America and past Chair of the Advocacy Committee of the Board of Governors and Region X Chief of the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons. His research interests include prehospital treatment of traumatic brain injury, resuscitation of hemorrhagic shock, hemorrhage control and development of novel blood products. Funding sources include the Department of Defense, the NIH and private industry. Dr. Schreiber has over 600 publications.
