Rajan K. Thakkar, MD, FACS, is a Pediatric Surgeon.  Dr. Thakkar is currently the Trauma Medical Director and Co-Director of the Burn Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He also serves as an Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine and a Principal Investigator at the Abagail Wexner Research Institute of Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences Research. His research focuses on pediatric thermal injury.

Dr. Thakkar attended The Ohio State University. He completed his General Surgery residency at Brown University in Providence, RI and completed his fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
