Maria Hernandez Mora

Maria Hernandez is the Director of Latino Community Outreach at Liver Education Advocates (LEA), where she leads national efforts in liver health education, awareness, and patient advocacy for Latino communities across the United States.
She has served as a guest lecturer and educational presenter, delivering webinars and conference presentations for community health workers, nurses, social workers, and the general public, including at the NALA Conference 2025 and a community conversation session at AASLD The Liver Meeting® 2025. She has also provided academic guest lectures for nursing students at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and University of Pittsburgh.
Maria’s work focuses on culturally responsive, evidence-informed education addressing MASLD/MASH, cirrhosis, and liver cancer, with an emphasis on prevention, early identification, and health equity.
