Heather Williams

After receiving her Bachelors degree from Mount Vernon College and her law degree from Catholic University, Heather Williams moved to Delaware to start her legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk for the judges at Family Court. After clerking for two years, she worked for several years as an attorney for a non-profit legal agency, where she was able to try cases before every court in the state. With a focus on family law, she then moved briefly to the Department of Justice and then to the Office of the Child Advocate, where she was a Deputy Child Advocate for almost 10 years. In 2014, she was appointed as a Hearing Officer for the Department of Labor, where she stayed 9 years. In 2023, she returned to the Department of Justice, where she is a Deputy Attorney General/Unit Head in the Child Protection Unit. In addition to her full-time legal job, Heather has been an adjunct instructor in the Legal Studies and Criminal Justice Departments at a local University.
