Brent Rupnow
Brent Rupnow is a father who has spent several years navigating the devastating effects of medical child abuse perpetrated against his daughter. Throughout this ordeal, he has faced immense emotional and legal challenges, encountering resistance from medical providers, therapists, attorneys, and the dependency court system as he fought to protect her.
After three and a half grueling years of advocacy, the dependency court finally removed his daughter from her mother’s care based on clear evidence of abuse, offering Mr. Rupnow renewed hope for her safety and healing. However, this hope was short-lived. A newly assigned team of social workers quickly reframed the matter, dismissing documented abuse and characterizing the situation as merely "two parents who can't get along," despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. This misguided reframing led to false reporting, suppression of crucial evidence, and significant procedural malfeasance.
Upon appeal, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) formally acknowledged that Mr. Rupnow should never have been labeled as an offending parent. Yet, despite this vindication, the battle to protect his daughter and ensure justice continues. He brings resilience, insight, and an unwavering commitment to this panel, dedicated to raising awareness, advocating for child protection reform, and safeguarding parental rights within complex family systems.
