30 year career as a professional firefighter/paramedic and SWAT Medic. Promoted to Lieutenant in 1995, retired in 2014.

Worked on committee that create the Department of Homeland Security, assisted with curriculum creation for emergency and medical response to disaster and terrorism events.Participated in curriculum creation for hospital based Hazmat Decon team training
