Jamie Harrison, MSN, RN, CPN, VA-BC, CNML is the Nursing Director of Critical Care (PICU/NICU) at Nemours Children’s Health in Orlando, Florida. She received a master’s degree in nursing leadership at Grand Canyon University and Bachelor of Science in nursing at Concordia College/West Suburban College of Nursing. Previously, she served at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s hospital. She has been a member of the Nemours leadership team since 2016.  She has over three decades of experience with Pediatric Intensive Care, Vascular Access, Sedation and Procedural service.  She has presented the DIVA work at various national conferences through poster and podium presentations surrounding the continuous improvement initiative.  She was awarded the Nemours Central Florida Team Award- DIVA (Difficult Vascular Access) team of the year. February 2021 Daisy Nurse Leader of the Year 2021, Nemours Children’s Hospital, October 2020 Daisy Team Award DIVA (Difficult Vascular Access) Nemours Children’s Hospital, October 2020. She has experience in the development of a successful pediatric sedation and procedural team and continues this work here at Nemours.
