John Erickson, OD, FAAO, is a provider of optometric expertise at Nemours since 2013. He graduated with honors from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN and continued his training with a residency in pediatric optometry at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Erickson is a primary investigator in the NIH sponsored Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG) that studies the treatment of pediatric eye disease such as strabismus and amblyopia. His expertise includes aphakic contact lens fitting and management, amblyopia, strabismus, myopia control, failed vision screenings, and refractive error management. Dr. Erickson frequently presents lectures and research on pediatric eye care at regional and national meetings.
