Pediatric Resuscitation Outreach Simulation | Rockledge Regional
In this 1-hour simulation session, learners will receive hands on practice stabilizing a critically ill child, locating and utilizing pediatric-specific equipment, and demonstrating effective teamwork during a pediatric resuscitation. By the end of this session, learners will be better prepared to respond effectively to pediatric emergencies in the emergency department.
Target Audience
This series is recommended for interprofessional Emergency Department Team Members at Rockledge Regional Medical Center.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate effective teamwork skills (including closed loop communication, shared mental model, and clear roles & responsibilities)
- Locate & utilize pediatric-specific equipment.
- Verbalize critical actions during a pediatric resuscitation.
