Online - Rheumatology Pearls for the Pediatric Office

Dr. Evan Mulvihill discusses symptoms and diagnosis modalities for common rheumatology issues seen in the primary care office.  What providers can manage in the office and when to refer to a specialist. This program was captured at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware Lunchtime Pediatrics on November 14, 2024.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize presenting symptoms of inflammatory conditions such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
  • Discuss various testing modalities used in evaluation of autoimmune conditions.

Practice Change

Recognize that children with juvenile arthritis may present with joint stiffness without obvious swelling, pain, or other systemic symptoms.
