Online: Pediatric Pain Management Part 1: Management of Chronic Pain 2024-25

This activity meets the SAMHSA/DEA expectations and can be used to fulfill the MATE Act requirement for prescribers.

Dr. Elissa Miller discusses the pathophysiology of chronic pain and comprehensive pain management techniques, including non-pharmacologic management and non-opioid treatment recommendations.

This activity meets the criteria for 1-hour of the safe opioid prescribing continuing medical education requirement for Physician re-licensure in the states of Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the pathophysiology of chronic pain
  • Utilize opioid risk assessment tools prior to opioid prescribing.
  • Describe comprehensive pain management techniques: non-pharmacologic management and non-opioid treatment recommendations.
