Andrew Mower, MD is the Clinical Director of Neurology at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware and a voluntary Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. In this Lunchtime Pediatrics session, he discusses the differential diagnosis for seizures and other neurological events, the elements in the patient history that helps differentiate whether the paroxysmal spell is or is not a seizure/neurological event, and what initial diagnostic work-up is needed to guide management.
