Online - Nursing Grand Rounds - Beyond the Bedside: Tools for Increasing Nurse Engagement in Scholarly Work

This regularly scheduled series provides clinicians the opportunity to attend a didactic session that discusses and analyzes the latest evidence-based practice initiatives, and research related to the specialty of Nursing. This month's topic is Nurse Engagement in Scholarly Work.

Target Audience

Advanced Practice Providers, Nurses, others (clinical and non-clinical)

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • List three qualities of a good mentor and three objectives for the mentor-mentee relationship.
  • Describe how the mentor role can support nurses and other health care professionals in achieving professional goals.
  • Describe different methods RNs and APRNs can engage in scholarly work and include benefits of belonging to hospital-based groups and professional organizations.
