Nemours QI Writer's Workshop| Cohort 1
Overview
Participants will progressively develop a manuscript through structured writing support and coaching with the goal of submitting the final version for publication. Manuscripts will be submitted to the Cohort Teams page for feedback and editing by other participants in an all teach/all learn format. Deadlines for section drafts, peer edits, and final manuscript submission will be communicated and monitored and online progress will be reviewed to ensure accountability. Homework will be assigned prior to each session and completion is required.

SESSION 1
Introduction to SQUIRE 2.0 Guidelines & Authorship
- Review SQUIRE 2.0 Guidelines
- Critically Review assigned QI manuscripts
- Complete Literature Search Round 1 (Be sure to find relevant QI publications. What makes your work a unique contribution to the existing literature?)
- Homework to be completed post session:
- Begin writing Introduction and Methods
SESSION 2
Journal Selection
- Librarian-led session. Librarians will assist with journal selection for submission
- Homework to be completed post session:
- Submit Introduction & Methods to Teams page
- Edit and give written feedback on assigned classmate’s Introduction and Methods sections by using “track changes” and “comments” in the Word document
SESSION 3
Review Introduction and Methods
- Review structured feedback on Introduction and Methods sections
- Homework to be completed post session:
- Complete Lit Search Round 2
- Edit Introduction and Methods based on feedback
- Write Results and Discussion and submit to Teams page
- Edit and give written feedback on assigned classmate’s Results and Discussion sections using “track changes” and “comments” in the word document
SESSION 4
Review Results and Discussions
- Provide structed feedback on the Results and Discussions sections
- Homework to be completed post session:
- Make edits to entire manuscript based on feedback given in previous sessions
SESSION 5
Review Manuscript
- Provide structured feedback on entire manuscript
- Finalization planning for publication submission
