Interprofessional CCCU Simulation | Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital
This interprofessional CCCU simulation provides a supportive space for interprofessional teams to practice effective teamwork and communication during high-acuity CCCU scenarios. The experience is designed to build team confidence and preparedness in similar emergency situations.
Target Audience
Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate effective interprofessional teamwork.
- Demonstrate operational preparedness for a CCCU emergency.
- Anticipate the critical actions during a CCCU emergency.
Learner Change:
Learners will review operational preparedness and components of interprofessional teamwork, including TeamSTEPPS Tools and IPEC Core Competencies before practicing those skills as a team.
Outcome Evidence:
Learners will demonstrate operational preparedness and effective interprofessional teamwork during the simulation and commit to practice change during the debrief
