"Head First: Responding to Head and Facial Injuries in Schools" equips school nurses with essential knowledge and practical strategies to assess and manage pediatric head and facial trauma. Led by an experienced pediatric emergency physician, the course emphasizes early recognition, appropriate intervention, and collaboration to ensure student safety when injuries occur. Participants will gain confidence in handling urgent situations while reinforcing best practices in school-based injury response.

Nurses, Academic Professionals and others working with children in community settings as well as those interested in the session topics
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
- Discuss the latest evidence-based research and advancements in pediatric head and facial injuries, applying the most current knowledge and practices in their care for students.
- Identify key pediatric head and facial injury issues and best practices, addressing the unique needs and challenges faced by school nurses.
- Apply health measures, empowering them to proactively address pediatric head and facial injuries within the school setting.
