
Florida Cardiac STABLE 2024 | February
The S.T.A.B.L.E. - Cardiac Module provides general guidelines for the assessment and stabilization of neonates with suspected congenital heart disease (CHD). Prompt, effective, and appropriate care of neonates with severe CHD can reduce secondary organ damage, improve short and long-term outcomes, and reduce morbidity and mortality. Includes didactic and simulation for core concepts.

Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
Objective #1 Discuss the clinical presentation and initial stabilization of neonates with severe congenital heart disease.1
Objective #2 Explain the palliative and common surgical approaches to treat various heart defects.
Objective #3 Discuss how to perform a thorough physical exam to detect possible congenital heart disease.
