Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
- Define epilepsy, identify common comorbidities associated with epilepsy, and discuss evidence‑based management strategies for optimizing patient care.
- Describe the basic indications for surgical intervention in children with cranial deformities and epilepsy, and explain recent advances in the surgical management of craniosynostosis and pediatric epilepsy.
- Calculate a child’s mid‑parental height to determine genetic growth potential, and identify the normal ages and stages of puberty while recognizing when an endocrine consultation is appropriate.
