CFL BHH 2026 | Supporting Developmental Surveillance and Screening in Primary Care
Join the Central Florida Behavioral Health Hub for a virtual training focused on strengthening developmental surveillance and screening in pediatric primary care. This program will explore key theories of child development, clarify the distinction between surveillance and screening, and highlight evidence‑based strategies to support healthy development at every well visit.
This training will be hosted virtually only via Microsoft Teams. The meeting link will be emailed to registered attendees.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
- Describe key theories of child development and their relevance to pediatric practice.
- Differentiate between developmental surveillance and developmental screening.
- Identify evidence‑based strategies to promote child development in pediatric primary care.
- Integrate early literacy promotion into developmental surveillance to support caregiver–child interactions and celebrate family and cultural diversity.
